The club will be holding its 19th annual show at:
The Cedar Court Hotel
Denby Dale Road, Calder Grove
West Yorkshire WF4 3QZ
(Adjacent to j39 of the M1)
There will be the usual eclectic mix of exhibitors, including both professionals and enthusiasts. To give a flavour of those attending, we have for example Richard Keefe (Impression X), R-Comp, MW Software, RISC OS Open, Sine Nomine and even some 8-bit items from John Dale and Retro Software, etc.. So, there is something for everyone from 8-bit computers (such as the BBC Micro) through to the latest Raspberry Pi and ARMiniX (Pandaboard).
Several illustrated talks will take place during the day in the show theatre, including presentations by R-Comp and RISC OS Open. Full details of participants and times are on the show website.
Also at the show, we will be releasing the 4th Edition of the popular Newsletter Back Catalogue CD. The CD has been updated with the past 12 months’ issues (up to the end of Volume 31 in March 2014), meaning that it now contains around 372 editions of the Club’s monthly newsletter going right back to the first one from April 1983.
The CD will cost 10 ukp, but WROCC members can obtain it for the discounted price of 7.50 ukp. Just visit the club stand to obtain your copy.
Everyone will have the chance to win a brand new Raspberry Pi (Model B) computer board starter kit, plus a Bruce Smith Book on Programming RISC OS on the Pi in the Prize Draw! Entry to the draw costs 1 ukp, (only one entry per person). Visit the club stand (stand 1) to fill in your prize draw form.
There will once again be a charity stall raising money for Wakefield Hospice – please help us support this good cause.
